This year, GCU’s Delta Mu Delta is hosting close to the same array of events. They are especially excited about this years’ service project on November 3 at the Phoenix Dream Center, located on 33rd Ave and Indian School, right in GCU’s own neighborhood. The Phoenix Dream Center is an organization centered on mission work with the foster care system, sex trafficking victims and addiction recovery. In addition, the Phoenix Dream Center houses dozens of people in their own facilities.
Conner Teich, the President of GCU’s Delta Mu Delta Chapter, has worked with the Colangelo College of Business to host a supplies drive that will benefit the Phoenix Dream Center. The week prior to their service project, Oct. 29 – Nov. 2, there will be a supplies drive inside of the CCOB building. Delta Mu Delta will place large bins throughout the building for students and faculty to donate items such as home goods, toiletries, clothing, etc. On November 3, the supplies will be taken to Phoenix Dream Center and presented to them. Teich believes that the “Phoenix Dream Center has done so much for many communities in Phoenix, that this is the least Delta Mu Delta can do for them.”
All in all, GCU’s Delta Mu Delta Chapter is an organization centered around connecting like-minded, high-achieving individuals who have a passion for working hard and giving back to those in need. As it says in Luke 12:48, “Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.” Delta Mu Delta will continue to strive to be GCU’s premier business honors society, however, they will never forget what it means to be a true servant leader.
