Graduates of Grand Canyon University’s Education Specialist in K-12 Leadership Program will adopt a philosophy of leadership that allows them to be self-leaders who are then able to apply multiple theories and adapt a range of leadership styles for use in diverse situations.

• Synthesize foundational leadership theories.
• Evaluate the ethical implications of leadership decisions.

Graduates of Grand Canyon University’s Education Specialist in K-12 Leadership Program will advance the study of leadership within the field of K-12 education leadership with a research-based approach to facilitate the leadership abilities and role as a strategic professional.

• Explore the history and politics of K-12 education.
• Analyze the governance and structure of K-12 educational institutions including both internal and external frameworks and the leadership practices required in these areas.
• Examine the stakeholder relations practices that are necessary to sustain the diverse learning infrastructure of K-12 education.
• Analyze and evaluate current trends and issues in K-12 education with regard to their effects on leadership strategies, classroom practices, and student outcomes.
• Analyze the development of a comprehensive learning plan for K-12 education that supports continuous school improvement and sustainable change.
